Cholesterol Results Are Good

I received the results of my blood test. All of my numbers are now within the normal range. My total cholesterol went down by 22. My good cholesterol went up by 15. I don't remember any of the other numbers from my test last year, but I know they were on the high end of the range. I'll find out how much the other numbers improved when I see the doctor in a week and half.

Although problems with the heart are not common in my family, my grandmother and mother have had increasing problems with dementia as they became older. Many who have symptoms of Alzheimer's also have high cholesterol. I'm hoping if I can keep my cholesterol in check, I can decrease my chances of getting Alzheimer's as I age.
